Island Bay School
A serene nature play area for the tamariki of Island Bay School. Now even a popular weekend hangout spot, the space offers endless challenges for kids motor and balance skills. Parkour galore! With the addition of a huge new sandpit it caters for the little ones too. A new access path to the artroom integrates the surrounding structures. On handover of the site Nice Pozi staff delivered a speech to the entire school detailing the overview of the project and materials used and where they came from. This included some in depth geological detail on the boulders used and how they arrived at their school following a historic volcanic eruption from their source!
