Another in house, design and build landscaping project for the Pozi team.
With shape and contours in already this was a job about giving a bit more function and basically just filling up with cool stuff. We used recycled railway sleepers with a treated mowing strip for the full perimeter of the lawn space which makes for a great curved race track from the generous exposed aggregate patio down to the bottom lawn. A sandstone slab stair set winds you down to the lower terrace with coherent local Wellington rock connecting gardens along with log steppers for many routes for the kids to jump around the garden space.
A beefy swing set sends you up the valley where native plantings line the neighbourhood creek. The rolling slide mimics the rolling farmland of the surrounding hills. Mature trees planted bring the space to life and provide screening as well as an abundance of fruit trees in lots of pockets of the garden. A huge variety of native plantings fill the space nicely along with some good sized veggie bins devoted to the chef's. Clean honed pavers connect the spaces in this fantastic family yard. Not that Kiwi's need it, but now there's absolutely no excuses to stay inside now.
